Brax amplifiers, signal processors, speakers and subwoofers from Audiotec Fischer are designed and crafted in Germany to deliver world-class mobile audio solutions for the most fanatical of audiophiles. Each product is the culmination of thousands of hours researching, testing and tweaking each design element to produce a mobile audio solution that is truly a car audio benchmark.
BRAX by Audiotec Fischer
In November 1996, Brax introduced the world to the X2000 in Bangkok. The next winter, Audiotec Fischer showed the X2000 and its sister X1000 at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Both amplifiers went on to win best-in-class awards from prominent car audio publications that year.
While some mobile electronics companies design products to suit a specific price point, Brax eschews compromise in search of the ultimate in sonic purity. In the case of amplifiers, the output devices are hand-matched to deliver perfect harmony, and their processors use class-leading analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog converters to ensure that even the most subtle nuances remain accurate.
The Brax GX- and MX-series amplifiers reproduce music with amazing transparency and detail. Their distortion and signal-to-noise specifications exceed those of the most esoteric of home audio equipment to enable music enthusiasts to hear their music the way the musicians and engineers intended. No added warmth from intermodulation distortion. No crossovers, infrasonic filters or signal mixing circuits that could allow noise into the audio path. No brightness from unwanted harmonics. Just pure audio from 10 Hz to 80 kHz to create music that sounds amazing.
Only once a Brax retailer has completed an audio system design does the manufacturing begin on the MX amplifiers. Each is handmade using hand-selected components, then tested to ensure perfect performance. In every way possible, Brax amplifiers are as accurate and faithful as possible.
BRAX Digital Signal Processor
The Brax DSP is unlike any other in the car audio industry. It handles signal conversion using Asahi Kasei “Velvet Sound” analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog converters that operate at up to 192 kHz. The system uses three Sigma350 processors that manipulate audio signals with 64-bit precision to manage the eight input channels and 12 outputs. This reference-quality performance allows trained mobile audio technicians to fine-tune even the most complex of mobile audio masterpieces for studio-quality realism and detail.
High-end speakers are designed to reproduce audio with impressive clarity and detail. The Brax Matrix dome midrange and tweeters feature Acronal-coated silk domes for excellent high-frequency performance and damping. The Matrix- and Graphic-series cone midrange drivers and woofers use stiff and lightweight paper cones with a hollow ceramic sphere coating called MicroSphere to improve damping without adversely affecting the mass of the moving structure.
All Brax speakers are sold a la carte in pairs to allow your retailer to mix and match the perfect selection of components for your listening preferences and installation possibilities.
The Matrix subwoofers feature cone materials similar to those of the Matrix midrange drivers, but with a heavy-duty design that can handle the rigors of high-excursion, low-frequency audio recreation. Available in 8- and 10-inch sizes, your Brax dealer can design and construct a compact sealed enclosure that fits in amazing small spaces or add a vent to a larger enclosure for increased efficiency and reduced distortion.
